Kalamazoo Police dashcam shows officers rushing K9 Dozer to the animal hospital after being stabbed

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) posted saying one of their K9s was stabbed Tuesday night.

The K9 was stabbed during the apprehension of a suspect. They said the dog has been taken to an emergency animal hospital in Byron Center to receive medical care.

K9 Dozer recovered and back on his legs.

KDPS also said the suspect is in custody. They asked the public to keep the K9 in their thoughts.
