Community members shows Grand Rapids Public Schools they have some issues

Fifty-seven percent rated the district with an "F" grade for how well the school board demonstrates appropriate knowledge of needs and issues of students and families, and 48-percent gave an F for how budget allocations have addressed chronic issues. The community views GRPS as average or below average on the eight questions asked, with one teacher telling the district last night that "people at the top are too far removed from the students" and her voice is not heard unless she speaks at meetings. Parents add the district needs to set goals.
