Originally aired August 21, 2023. On this week's show, Theo and Teepee ask the question: Is the US military too woke to wage war? The Talk Guys do a deep dive and bring up events and evidence that show that our military may not be combat effective because they have been focusing efforts on DEI and ESG policy rather than focusing their efforts on being prepared for war. The Iowa Talk Guys do not condone war but believe that our country should have a strong military in order to defend itself from outside threats.

In Part 2, we discuss the recruiting crisis that has been affecting all branches of the US military in the last few years. The Talk Guys read an open letter from a top enlisted Air Force member that addresses some issues that she believes are weakening our military. We go over recruiting numbers and discuss how much money and military equipment have been sent to Ukraine, the size of our Navel fleet, the cost of renaming military bases across the US, and the concern of the military’s carbon footprint.
