Evening Ascent: Gravel Bike Return Ride from Kaitoke to Remutaka Summit [4K PREVIEW]

Join in on a captivating gravel bike journey, tackling a challenging 10 km climb from the Kaitoke shooting range up to the majestic Remutaka Summit, on a tranquil summer evening. The warm weather and diminishing winds set the stage for an exhilarating descent, reaching speeds of up to 38.6 km/h, with legs working at a strong cadence.

Unfortunately, the ride takes an unexpected turn when a protruding rock in the midst of a rough trail leads to a slow puncture, evolving into a triple "snakebite" pinch puncture, a collapsed rear tire, and a juddering halt to the adventure. Despite the setback, the journey showcases the thrill and unpredictability of gravel biking.
