Turkey's President Erdoğan is expected to revisit theareas impacted by the country's deadliest earthquake,on the first anniversary of the disaster.

The earthquake killed a total of 53,000 people after ithit southeastern Turkey on 6 February 2023.

One year on, one third of survivors are still displaced orhomeless according to figures from Save The Children.

Pressure remains on the Turkish government to helprebuild some areas after the quake destroyed 85%of infrastructure in the region, with some streets stillacovered in rubble from collapsed buildings.
