Biden mistakes Macron for Mitterrand, France for Germany

Joe Biden rolled back the years in Las Vegas on Monday, but sadly only within the confines of his own mind, getting French President Emmanuel Macron confused with Francois Mitterrand. He also accused Mitterrand of being President of Germany, an accusation Mitterrand is unable to defend himself against, having been dead for 28 years.

Speaking (and we use the term loosely) at some event or other in Las Vegas, Biden recalled the discussion with the late president of possibly Germany, saying ‘It was in south of England and I sat down and I said: ‘America's back,’ and Mitterrand from Germany, I mean from France, looked at me and said: ‘You know, how long you back for?’ Following this accidental scuffle with both time and space, Biden then went on a rant about the January 6 riot, which he did not confuse with a dead president of France.

Francois Mitterrand, who was President of France from 1981 to 1995, died in 1996, which is coincidentally the last time Biden had a coherent thought.
