It is located in Haghtanak Park (Victory Park), at the foot of the majestic monument "Mother Armenia". The aircraft was transported from Russia and installed in 2009 in the open air, along with Soviet equipment systems: T-34, BTR-152, Katyusha BM-13, S-75 air defense system, infantry fighting vehicles , etc.
At the base of the monument itself is the “Mother Armenia” military museum, consisting of two main sections dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and the Karabakh War; entry is free.
On the site near the museum complex the Eternal Flame burns in memory of the soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War, and from the observation deck you can enjoy a beautiful view of Yerevan. An interesting fact is that until 1962, on the site of the sculpture "Mother Armenia" there was a huge monument to Stalin, which is why the park began to be called "Monument". In 1967, the sculpture “Mother Armenia” was installed in its place.
It is visible on Google Maps at the coordinates 40°11'43.8"N 44°31'28.5"E. Photo Sky.n.planes
