Woman Struck by Car, Killed

A woman was killed after being hit by a car Friday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The crash happened on Joel Blvd and E 23rd St. at approximately 7 p.m. Troopers say 28-year-old Ashley Davidson was standing directly in the path of an oncoming vehicle at Joel Blvd. The front end of the car struck Ashley and she was pronounced dead at the scene, FHP said. The driver and passenger of the vehicle sustained no injuries. Charges are still pending at this time.
