In Jesus Our Salvation is Guaranteed

The foundation for our salvation is not complicated. It is in the belief and receiving of the Lord Jesus Christ that we have been given the opportunity to be set free from the bondage of sin. As believers we are bought out of bondage, out of slavery. Jesus paid the ultimate price so we may have a better life now and for eternity.

The bible teaches us that God predestines us to be in Christ, for holiness, for adoption. When we receive Jesus Christ we are immediately adopted into the family of God for the praise of His glory. It is in that moment when we receive Christ that we are sealed in the Holy Spirit. What does this mean? It means we are forever in the family of God. Our salvation is secured when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit with God's promise that we will never lose our salvation (John 10:27-29 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand.). We become heirs to God the Father and co-heirs with Christ. As heirs, we are to be formed in the image of the Son (sonship). In the Jewish world, the emphasis was on sonship.
