Born in a blizzard: Anderson woman recalls birth of daughter 40 years ago during the blizzard of '78

Everyone alive during the blizzard of 1978 has their own unique story to share, but an Anderson woman's story is one for the books.  Penny Edwards Wallace was nine months pregnant with her third daughter, Janette, when the blizzard began on January 25. With her due date still a few days out, she wasn't too worried, but she says Janette wasn't willing to wait for the snow to stop.  Penny went into labor early January 26, 1978.
