Elderly man found dead in upscale south side Indy home

A man was found dead in a house on Indianapolis' south side Friday morning.  Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 1800 block of Inisheer Court just after 9:30 a.m., on a report of a home robbery. A housekeeper who had arrived at the house noticed a disturbance of some kind, and called police. When officers arrived, they found the body of a man, believed to be the homeowner, IMPD spokesperson Genae Cook said. The neighborhood of the body found, known as Glenns Valley, is not used to seeing this kind of crime. There have been zero homicides in the past two years.
