Homemade Nacho Fries Recipe:
Ingredients:
For the Fries:
4 large russet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into fries
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Nacho Toppings:
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/4 cup sliced black olives
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup pickled jalapeños (optional)
Sour cream and guacamole for serving
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare Potatoes:
Cut the scrubbed potatoes into fries, ensuring they are of similar thickness for even cooking.
Season the Fries:
In a large bowl, toss the fries with vegetable oil, chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Ensure the fries are well coated with the seasoning.
Bake the Fries:
Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the fries are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through.
Melt Cheese on Fries:
Once the fries are cooked, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over them. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Add Toppings:
Remove the fries from the oven and immediately sprinkle diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, sliced green onions, and pickled jalapeños over the cheesy fries.
Serve Hot:
Serve the nacho fries hot with a side of sour cream and guacamole.
