BREAKING: Sky correspondent in Iraq warns strikes are a 'major escalation in conflict' | Sky News

The US has begun strikes against targets in Iraq and Syria in retaliation for an attack on an American military base in Jordan.

Speaking from Iraq, Sky correspondent John Sparks said 85 targets had been hit using 125 precision weapons, some of them delivered by long-range bombers from the US.

Sparks said the known targets hit so far were in two cities in eastern Syria, and other locations in western Iraq.
