Dr. Weston A Price who traveled the globe to understand what lead to the development and maintenance of perfect teeth.

He found that brushing and flossing were not the main determinants of dental health.

Diet was.

Of the 10 tribes he discovered with perfect teeth, here were the commonalities.

1. All tribes were free of modern foods, including white flour, sugar, pasturized milk, additives, and preservatives.

2. They prioritized organ meats and bone marrow, when available.

The difference in nutrients between 3 ounces of beef liver versus ribeye.

Beef liver has 20x more B12, 35x the amount of folate, 2x B6, 4x more niacin, 7x more riboflavin, 2x thiamine, 120x copper, 2x iron, 2x phosphorous, and over 2000x the amount of vitamin A.

We need A LOT of minerals like calcium and phosphorous which makes our teeth strong. We need vitamin D which helps us absorb calcium from out food. And we need vitamin K2 to help deposit calcium onto our teeth and bones.

3. Many groups prioritized dairy intake from pasture-raised animals.

Must be animals raised on lush green grasses.

Food is fabricated soil fertility.

Dairy is high in calcium and vitamin K2.

4. When available, these groups ate lots of seafood and dried kelp.

They also prioritized small amounts of cod liver oil and fish eggs since they are extremely nutrient dense.

5. They ate whole grains, legumes, fresh vegetables, and some fruit.

Whole grains were freshly ground.

Legumes were soaked and cooked thoroughly to decrease anti-nutrients.

Vegetables were eaten in season and stored for winter.

6. They chewed on bones and other tough foods.

Wasn't something Dr. Price noted as important, rather it was the subject of numerous scientists including evolutionary biologist Daniel Lieberman and evolutionist Richard Klein.

Facial development and straight teeth are largely influenced by how much mechanical force we put on our teeth at an early age from chewing.
