The Loring King is a powerful but enigmatic figure in Vyn Vanir and Sabler lore; nonetheless, a few unequivocal facts are known about him.

The Loring King is a surviving prince from the far-away realm of Royos, where he met, pursued, and married Ryvern Yale, a beauty from the Isle of Khyther. Their love created the House of Yale, of which he is its most zealous defender. Also known as the Prince of Wands, the Loring King is the last member of an ancient house possessing a strange reality-warping power called Loring Hex. Exactly how the Loring Hex works remains a mystery, but is historically associated with a lost race called the Saxorai.

All the Children of the Loring King, including their children, have inherited the Loring Hex; however, on emigrating to the Sabler Commonwealth, they use it sparingly.

The Loring King appears as a tall, ruthlessly handsome warrior with long black hair, a fair complexion, and smoldering blue eyes. He carries a black sword called Consequence.
