The “Goyescas” are reflection on paintings by Francisco Goya. They were written between 1909 and 1911. They we subtitled “Los majos enamorados” (The Gallants in Love). The original piano pieces are extremely difficult.

Movement 1: “Los requiebros” refers to complimentary remarks: flirtatiousness.
