2025 BMW Z4 Finally Gets a Manual Transmission
The six-speed transmission is part of a $3500 'Handschalter' package and will only be available on the six-cylinder M40i variant of the roadster.

BMW has released more details about the manual-transmission Z4, which will be available for the 2025 model year. The stick-shift is part of a $3500 package that BMW refers to with the codename "Handschalter," which means "hand shift" in German. We have added new photos of the 2025 Z4 so equipped. San Remo Green will only be available on the manual-transmission version, and there's also a BMW Individual color called Frozen Deep Green Metallic available for $2950. The manual Z4 will go on sale starting in March 2024.
