Our political and social landscape is nasty, really nasty.

Our political and social landscape is nasty, really nasty. It doesn't matter if it's the left or the right. The right is quick to remove due process and apply accusation without evidence based only on supposition. A quick look around Gab makes that very clear. The left is quick to dismiss and hide their actions in the dark while also being accusatory. The more time passes the less I feel like I can associate with either. To be honest the left never really had my attention but I'm getting more and more alienated by the right with each passing day. Perhaps we can learn a few things from the wise voices of the past?

"Be one who nurtures and who builds. Be one who has an understanding and a forgiving heart, who looks for the best in people. Leave people better than you found them. Be fair with your competitors, whether in business, athletics, or elsewhere. Don’t get drawn into some of the parlance of our day and try to “win” by intimidation or by undermining someone’s character. Lend a hand to those who are frightened, lonely, or burdened."
