Soooo this is off the deep end for some of the new viewers. But if we are to ask critical questions. This has to be one of them.
If a contrail is only cooled moisture from a jet stream.
Why do they end up 100km long?
Not dissipate in the sun.
How do they waft over real clouds and split them into mist?
