What are your rights when hiring a private investigator?

A Lee County man says that his girlfriend hired a Marco Island private investigator to find her missing adult son - but are frustrated by the lack of results. Private investigator Walt Zalisko, who is not associated with the case, said there should be a signed contract when a detective is hired, and that the investigator should be keeping the family in the loop.
