Hurricane-force winds swept across northern Norway, damaging buildings, throwing boats onto roads and leaving thousands without power.
In some areas, wind speeds reached 41 m/s. And in Tverrfjellet in Glomfjord, a record wind speed of 64.1 m/s was recorded. This is the wind speed of a hurricane of the highest category 5.
