FAT CON 2024: Body Acceptance is a Death Sentence

Obesity, cancer, heart disease, diabetes and weight related conditions are surging in America and the UK - but today's society has decided that weight loss and healthy eating are not the solutions. Instead, fat acceptance, body positivity, and FAT CON 2024 are what we really need to turn the health crisis around.

Fat Con 2024 was the first of what will be an annual event, consisting of speakers to teach us about fat discrimination, a fashion show to glamorize extra, extra, extra large clothing and lingerie, and an entire fat community coming together to celebrate, and ignore the consequences of poor health.

We live in a day and age where self-harm is something we get excited about, and anyone who points out the obvious downward spiral that we're on due to our own choices is labeled as "hateful" and "discriminatory".

It's a sad state of affairs.
