schizomids

Very tiny, usually only a few millimeters long, rarely beyon
5-8 mm. Schizomids are ratherslim in build, totally blind ant
non-poisonous. They use their hook-like pedipalps to capture
prey and the first pair of legs, as feelers. As in Windscorpions
and Whipscorpions, only the remaining three pairs of legs
used for walking. Schizomids clean themselves regulart
with their pedipalps, bending almost in half to do the j
completely. The female lays her eggs in an underground nes
and guards them., going without food for several wecks t
time. These animals are rare and are found in tropical anu
subtropical regions of the world
