Vintage Rusty Padlock - Restoration

In this video, I'm restoring a vintage rusty heavy-duty padlock,
my friend has found this rusty old padlock in his steel box and sent me to restore this lock. this vintage padlock also has sentimental/ historical value that I can understand, so I chose to restore this rusty padlock. The lock was very rusty and its key was missing. The first step was to remove the rivets from the old padlock, I spent a lot of time disassembling them because removing the rivets may seem like a difficult task. I used the grinding the rivet off method to remove the rivets. once the head of the rivet has been removed, I can work to punch the rivet through the surface. I continue to hammer the chisel until the rivet is pushed through the surface. Finally, I had removed all the rivets one by one.
It was also very rusty inside, and the closing mechanism was stuck. but they were all still functional. So I only removed all rust and gave them a nice polish finish. The padlock was very rusty but there was enough material left to do so, I decided to paint it. Making the key was quite a challenge, but it turned out very well and it actually worked. In my opinion, the padlock turned out very well and I'm very happy with the end result.
This restoration took me one week to complete. I like so much this vintage rusty heavy-duty padlock.
