Darood-e-Ibrahim, also known as Salawat or Durood Ibrahim, is a revered Islamic prayer recited by Muslims to invoke blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The prayer begins with the words "Allahumma Salli Ala Muhammadin Wa Ala Ali Muhammadin Kama Sallaita Ala Ibraheema Wa Ala Ali Ibraheema Innaka Hameedum Majeed," which translates to "O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrahim and his family. Surely, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious." Reciting Darood-e-Ibrahim is considered an act of devotion and a means of seeking Allah's mercy and blessings upon Prophet Muhammad and his descendants.
