Pittsburgh Police Deploy Taser on Suspect Leading to Death

Bodycam Release Date 1/29/2024 Pittsburg, PA - The video starts with the distress calls made to 911 and is subsequently followed by the initial interaction between Officer Keith Edmonds and Jim Rogers. Tragically, Rogers passed away a day after being tased by a Pittsburgh Police officer who was investigating a report of a stolen bicycle in Bloomfield on 10/13/2021. In an effort to seek justice, an Allegheny County Grand Jury was presented with testimonies; however, no charges were ever filed against the officers involved. Although four officers were terminated from their positions, three of them have since been reinstated. Officer Edmonds is currently striving to regain his employment through an arbitration hearing. In April 2023, the Rogers family and the City of Pittsburgh reached a settlement, with the city agreeing to provide a compensation of $8 million.
