Introduction:

Ingredients:
1 pound (450g) ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 carrots, diced
2 celery stalks, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup red wine (optional)
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup beef or vegetable broth
1 pound (450g) spaghetti
Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
Brown the Beef:
In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
Add Aromatics:
Add the chopped onion, carrots, celery, and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté until the vegetables are softened.
Tomato Base:
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, and dried basil. If using, pour in the red wine. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Season and Simmer:
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour in the milk and broth. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Cook Spaghetti:
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain.
Combine and Serve:
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce until evenly coated.
Garnish and Serve:
Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
