On June 15, 2023, police responded to an overdose call at a nursing home in Waukesha, WI. The overdose was caused by a new employee who had consumed a large amount of pure vanilla extract. While at the hospital, the female employee continued to be combative, insulting and spitting at both the officers and hospital staff.
