A Disappointed 4-Year-Old Explains Bullying

This 4-year-old girl has something really bothering her. It happens every day all over the world and now it’s happening right outside her home. For the first time in her innocent little life, she experienced bullying. Although it only slightly happened to her, that’s not what upset her.

Dad: Are you all right?
Girl: I care about my nice friends not my mean friends like Adelia.
I don’t even care about her.
Even she said mean things to me.
Dad: Yea. So what do you care about? What’s bugging you?
Girl: Well, I don’t like this when Adelia’s bullying my friends. That’s what I don’t like.
Dad: Yea. Why? What is she doing to bully your friends?
Girl: She likes saying “you’re bad” and those stuff.
Dad: Does it got you all torn up inside or what?
Girl: (Nodding) Now I’ mad at Adelia. I don't even want to be her friend anymore. I can't take it. I just don't want to be her friend anymore.
Dad: That’s fair baby.

It was how the bully spoke to her best friend. Yelling loudly in her face, saying bad words and just being very vulgar while they were just casually going about their day and playing outside. She takes her gig as bff very seriously, and it hurt and just downright angry when this all went down. It wasn’t the first time and now as she says she just can’t take it anymore. It’s eating her up inside and she wants it to end.

Let’s all hope that we have a best friend who cares this much at least once in our life. And if we do, count ourselves lucky and hope to get through it together.
