Jannik Sinner,the fourth seed defeated world No.3 Daniil Medvedev 3-6 3-6 6-4 6-4 6-3 in three hours and 44 minutes on Sunday night at Rod Laver Arena, becoming the first Italian, male or female, to win an AO singles title in the Open era and at 22, the youngest player from his nation to win a Grand Slam.
