Baalbek - The World's largest Megalith city of the Ancient world

In the Ancient world, Baalbek was no ordinary city. It was a city of splendor built from solid stone of mega proportions. The Romans did not build it nor did the Phoenicians. Soon after the fall of the Roman empire, Baalbek succumb to weather erosion, forces of nature and human intervention that helplessly couldn't bring it back to life.

It was too late. The life Baalbek once knew was gone and all that is left are the remains of it's magnificent past. Yet it's presence resonates a time of technological advancements accomplished long before industrial revolution was set in motion thousands of years later.

Today, Archaeologists, academics and historians are still puzzled over what befallen this grand central city that had some much potential came to a sudden and tragic end.
