Sabbath and Passover discussion - NO PROOF it was Changed or Done Away with

You can search the scriptures, but there is no proof Sabbath or Passover was changed or done away with.

The Jewish Feasts are a reflection of the reality in Christ

Some will use Galatians 4:9-11 to say Paul is telling the Galatians that they are "abandoning the grace of Christ and the gospel for the works of the law" and will argue Paul is saying that "the Jewish feasts were inherently weak and worthless."

But if that is the case, is Jesus going to subject us to being "under" these feasts that are "worthless and weak" in a future millennial reign?

Here are some passages in the Old Testament, such as Isaiah 66:23, Ezekiel 45:18-25, and Zechariah 14:16-198, indicate that some of the Jewish feasts, such as the Sabbath, the New Moon, the Passover, the Unleavened Bread, and the Tabernacles, will be celebrated by all people in the millennium, as a way of honoring and worshiping God and the Messiah.

The feasts are not a burden or a bondage, but a joy and a blessing. They are not a shadow or a type, but a reflection and a foretaste of the reality that is in Christ. They are not a means of earning God’s favor and acceptance, but a way of expressing gratitude and joy for God’s salvation in Christ.

The feasts are a way of connecting and identifying with God’s people, both past and present. They are not a barrier or a division, but a bridge and a unity. They are not a source of pride or superiority, but a sign of humility and solidarity. They are not a way of separating from the world, but a way of witnessing to the world.

- Zechariah 14:16-19 says that after the Lord returns and defeats the enemies of Israel, he will be king over all the earth, and all the nations will worship him in Jerusalem. It also says that every year, all the survivors from the nations that attacked Jerusalem will go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. If any of them do not come, they will face drought and plague as a punishment. This shows that the Feast of Tabernacles will be a mandatory and universal festival in the millennial kingdom.

- Ezekiel 45:17-25 and 46:1-15 describe the regulations for the worship and offerings in the millennial temple. They mention that the prince of Israel will provide the sacrifices for the Sabbaths, the new moons, and the feasts, including the Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and the Feast of Tabernacles. They also mention that the people of the land will worship at the entrance of the temple on the Sabbaths and the new moons, and that the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord will be accepted as well. This shows that the Sabbaths and the feasts will be a regular and inclusive part of the worship in the millennial temple.

- Isaiah 66:22-23 says that as the new heavens and the new earth that the Lord will make will remain before him, so will the descendants and the name of Israel. It also says that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before the Lord. This shows that the new moons and the Sabbaths will be a perpetual and universal sign of God's covenant and creation.

There are some verses in the Bible that suggest that some Gentiles observed the feasts along with the Jews, either out of curiosity, respect, or faith. For example:

- Acts 2:5-11 says that there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven living in Jerusalem, and that they heard the disciples speaking in their own languages about the mighty works of God on the day of Pentecost, which was one of the feasts. Among them were Parthians, Medes, Elamites, Mesopotamians, Cappadocians, Pontus, Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, Libya, Rome, Cretans, and Arabians. Some of these people may have been Gentiles who converted to Judaism, or who were interested in the Jewish faith. ¹
