Are you having trouble learning guitar songs by ear QUICKLY? This guitar lesson for beginners will make learning to play guitar EASIER!! If you focus your efforts on learning simple music theory on guitar, the most common guitar chords in the most common guitar keys, it will make it easier to learn how to play songs on guitar and help you write songs on guitar. The number system discusses the diatonic chords of the major scale Ionian Mode. It is transferable to every key on the guitar.

This guitar lesson is designed to help you learn the most common guitar chords in the most common guitar keys. If you practice these guitar chord progressions, it will help you develop the required muscle memory and dexterity to play guitar chords and guitar progressions more efficiently. The Nashville Number System is similar but the Nashville Number System is actually ALL MAJOR chords for each scale degree. Diatonically that doesn't make sense since because if you are in a major key the 1, 4, and 5 chords are major, the 2, 3, and 6 chords are minor, and the 7 is diminished. The Diatonic Number system is commonly used by professional musicians that need to learn songs quickly, and communicate the chords to other musicians efficiently. It is even done on the fly as we are playing the piece of music as in the sessions I do.

My guitar lessons are to help you overcome the guitar “road blocks” that many guitar students never overcome. Many guitar players remain stuck NOT learning some of the simple basic guitar music theory that would benefit them greatly.

Thank you for stopping in to view this guitar lesson. If you are having trouble making quick chord changes between chords this lesson will hopefully help you. I have had many students over the years at all levels and this is a common issue with beginners and intermediate guitar players.

1st - Guitar chords are played in groups of chords or what are called chord progressions. A majority of songs use a lot of the same chord progressions and usually stay in one key. Typically songs a have a 1 major chord, root or key, 4 major chord, 5 major chord and often times a 6 minor chord.

I also have many online guitar lessons, guitar tutorials, blues guitar, electric guitar solo, and anything to do with guitar... CAGED system, pentatonic scale lessons, arpeggios on guitar, guitar triads, major and minor guitar scales, major and minor pentatonic scales. And lessons on how to play Hotel California, how to play Stairway To Heaven, how to play Dust in the Wind, how to play Fast Car, how to play Tennessee Whiskey, how to play Rich Men North of Richmond.
