Astronomers have identified previously hidden celestial phenomena, including a novel class of elderly giants humorously termed “old smokers,” and even some nascent stars described as “squalling newborns.”

These enigmatic objects reside at the center of the Milky Way galaxy, maintaining a silent existence for decades, nearly fading into invisibility.

However, they can unpredictably release clouds of smoke, as per researchers.

This groundbreaking discovery emerged from a comprehensive survey of the night sky, monitoring close to a billion stars over a decade, Yahoo News reported.
