Unlocking the Mystery: Should You Delete the VRO Oiler on your 2 Stroke Outboard or mix the gas

Working on a 1989 Evinrude 150 hp. Fixed the ignition switch, found some bad fuel and looking into the VRO on this motor. Some guys delete the oiler and just mix the gas. But is it a good idea? I am against it but ultimately its the owner of the boats call.

Plus, winter hits and snows us in. Just trying to get some work done.
