Apparently unarmed Palestinian with hands up shot and killed in Gaza

A TV cameraman has captured footage of what appears to be a Palestinian civilian being fatally shot as he carried a white flag in Khan Younis on Monday. The footage, from British broadcaster ITV, shows a group of men being interviewed in the street, explaining that they were attempting to safely evacuate their family members.

After the interview, the men begin to walk up the road, still carrying the white flag. Gunfire can then be heard, and one of the men falls to the ground. His companions carry him away and they desperately try to resuscitate him.

The IDF has claimed they were not aware of the incident. Khan Younis is currently surrounded by Israeli troops, who are trying to capture the area, and thousands of people have been forced to flee since fighting intensified.
