Near Fear Scary Stories - Play Times Over

Sophie loved playing with dolls, and her favorite was a porcelain doll named Emily.
Emily had long, curly hair and bright blue eyes that seemed to follow Sophie wherever she went.
Sophie would play with Emily for hours, imagining all kinds of adventures and stories.
But one night, Sophie heard strange noises coming from her room.
She got out of bed to investigate and found that Emily had moved from her usual spot on the shelf.
She was now sitting on the floor, staring straight ahead, with a creepy smile on her face.
Sophie brushed it off and went back to bed, but the next night, the same thing happened.
Emily had moved again, this time to the foot of Sophie's bed. Her eyes seemed to glow in the moonlight, and her smile was wider than ever.
Sophie started to feel uneasy around Emily, but she didn't want to stop playing with her favorite doll.
She decided to keep a closer eye on her, and even started locking her bedroom door at night.
But one night, Sophie woke up to find Emily standing at the foot of her bed, her eyes glowing red and her smile stretched so wide that it looked like it was tearing at the corners.
Emily's porcelain skin had cracked and pieces were missing, revealing what looked like flesh and bone underneath.
Sophie screamed and tried to run, but Emily grabbed her ankle and pulled her back.
Sophie struggled to get free, but Emily's grip was too strong. Emily started to speak, in a voice that sounded like it was coming from deep within the doll.
"I've been waiting for you, Sophie. I want to be your friend forever."
Sophie screamed and begged for Emily to let her go, but it was no use.
Emily's grip only tightened, and Sophie knew that she was in real danger. She closed her eyes and prayed for help.
Suddenly, Sophie's parents burst into the room, alerted by her screams.
They saw Emily standing over Sophie, her eyes still glowing and her smile still twisted.
They grabbed the doll and threw her out of the window, shattering her porcelain body into a million pieces.
Sophie never played with dolls again, and she never forgot the terror she felt that night.
She knew that there was something sinister lurking beneath the surface of her beloved toys, and she vowed to never let her guard down again.
