▪️Sporadic clashes between IDF patrols and Hamas continue in the northern Gaza Strip. The militants have significantly intensified and are shelling strongholds both inside and outside the Strip.

▪️There is also fighting between local factions of Hamas militants and IDF units in the vicinity of Breij and Maghazi. Palestinians are firing mortars and launching semi-homemade rockets. The operation of heavy snipers is being recorded.

▪️More than 20 Israeli reservists were killed in a Palestinian attack in the Maghazi neighborhood. The fighters were near a structure mined by IDF engineers when they came under LAW and ATGM fire.

▪️West of Khan Yunis, Israeli forces darted around the city and reached Al-Aqsa University and Al-Kheir Hospital. The maneuver was due to the lack of high-rise development in the area, which prevented the Palestinians from responding to the night operation.

▪️On January 23, the IDF completed the encirclement of the Palestinian-controlled remnants of Khan Yunis, reaching along Route 1 to the Gush Katif highway. The town was thus cut off from supplies from Rafah and the Al-Mawasi refugee camp.

▪️As before, Hezbollah bombarded the military infrastructure of Israel along the entire border with Lebanon. One of the targets of the militants' strikes was the radar base on Mount Meron. The IDF responds with multiple strikes on population centers and neighborhoods in southern Lebanon.

▪️On January 22, the Houthis attacked the OCEAN JAZZ heavy load carrier, chartered to the U.S. Navy, with missiles. However, U.S. officials denied the strike, saying that it had not occurred at all.
