DID U KNOW THEY REMOVED THE HEAD TO THE STATUE OF LIBERTY FOR THE PARIS WORLD’S FAIR IN 1878

Somehow shipped it overseas to sit on it's on own in Paris for the Exposition?
How and Why? That's up there with "moving" the Crystal Palace.
