Trying to Fix a very Slow Xbox One S - Michel Postma Stream

My Xbox One S has become really slow; with start up times above 15 minutes and a very unresponsive menu. A potential fix is to replace the thermal paste, in case this is due to thermal throttling. Will this fix it, or is this the end of my Xbox?
