Original poem-

Part I

I resided in the depths of Hell
Before you came along
My heart lost in a black hole
Encaged by Satan’s song
Withdrawn from this cruel world
A time I spent secluded
Misplaced my very soul
A life I felt concluded
Delusion, paranoia, true shame it brought me down
The darkness deep within me, turned her smile to a frown
I prayed to God for life’s end, cursed the moment I was born
Pitiful and useless, my heart deep black from scorn
I then found you in my future
From the light within the past
I’ll now focus on the present
And make our true love last.

Part II

Rarely do we afford ourself the begotten son of humility
For our pride abhors him so as he is considered of weakness
Thus, as we avenge our egos with malice
The begotten son is pulled to the very depths of our subconscious
Wherein laying dormant beneath turbulent seas
He is distorted by the ripples of bitterness and shame
His true strength revealed through those without ego
Through those that are humble and unburdened by who have wronged them
Through strength and unconditional love he shall be risen from the depths
And thusly named, Forgiveness.

Part III

We peel back the skin from deep beneath the scars
Revealing your true self for what you hold
For what you hold you keep like a ray of sunshine, shining from within
Your true beauty found, found beneath the skin
Unfolding to create a new worth
True being unto yourself
Each of us present and unique
We unite, unite to be true
To bring forth a new power, our most valued treasure
This a priceless gift to keep us whole, whole and pure
The purity of love.
