Current Doctor Who Showrunner, Russell T Davies, has been caught lying in the video commentary for the most recent Christmas special titled The Church on Ruby Road.

In the segment, RTD claims that Millie Gibson's Ruby Sunday is the first person to do a full circuit around the TARDIS to check it for tricks and traps since Billie Piper's character Rose Tyler during the first episode of the 2005 revival which is objectively false.

Why is he lying and does this point to a larger issue?
