Officer struck by a vehicle in Manhattan

Manhattan: East 77th Street & Park Avenue, during an investigation for a theft at a high-end clothing store in Manhattan on Wednesday, an NYPD officers on foot observed an uninvolved gray Lexus sedan traveling northbound on the southbound lanes of traffic on Park Avenue and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle struck one of the officers. The driver of the vehicle, 24-year-old Sahara Dula, was taken into custody by officers from the NYPD 19th Precinct.
