The Departure of The Soul - Orthodox Purgatory

In the amazing book called 'The Departure of the Soul - According to the Teaching of the Orthodox Church' published by St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Monastery the Catholic teaching on:

- The attacks of demons on the departing soul
- The aid of the saints and angels at the moment of death
- The Devil being 'the accuser' of the soul and his desire to capture it forever if possible.
- Purgatory which is called the 'toll house' or 'toll houses' where an exact account is rendered for unconfessed or unrepentant of sins and from which the soul will not be released till 'the last farthing' is paid.
- The Eastern Orthodox do not used the TERM 'Purgatory' but the BELIEF in it is the same as the Catholic Church because it is The Apostolic Teaching.
- Prayers for the departing soul and for the dead are very efficacious for their repose and help.

Keeping in mind that the Catholic Church is the One True Church of Jesus Christ this is an amazing book that includes the saying and teaching of Saints before the 'schism' and Orthodox saints after the 'schism'. Highly Recommended.
