I. Take Heed that no Man Deceive You - Matthew 24:4
* A. Staying faithful to Christ in the last days requires vigilance against all lies and deceptions
* B. The Strong Delusion - 2 Thessalonians 2:8-11
* 1. The entire antichrist kingdom will be based on lies, signs and lying wonders
* 2. The lost are those who did not love the truth
* 3. Idolatries are intricately woven lies
* C. Understanding how God looks at idolatry 

II. The Covenant Relationship of God with His People - Micah 1:6-7
* A. The marriage covenant is the picture of the covenant of God with His people - Ephesians 5:22-27, 32
* 1. Christ is the Groom, the Church is the Bride
* a. Christ’s sacrificial love for the church is the standard for husbands to love their wives
* b. As the church summits to Christ so wives to their husbands
* 2. Jesus is working now to purify and perfect the church
* B. Any form of worshipping idols is spiritual adultery 
* 1. The idols Israel worshiped would be utterly destroyed
* 2. Israel’s sin is worse than simple adultery, it is prostitution - Leviticus 20:5-7
* a. Israel expected and received benefits by committing spiritual harlotry - hires of a harlot
* b. Those hires of a harlot would be all consumed in the war against Israel
* 3. Idolators commit their sin with the expectation that there will be greater rewards and benefits forthcoming
* 4. The lesson in Israel’s judgment is that any benefits received will ultimately amount to nothing - 1 John 5:21
