Texas DPS Arrests Teen Smuggler

A smuggler from San Antonio led TXDPS Troopers on a high-speed vehicle pursuit on US-277 in Val Verde County.

The driver, Heyreld R. Betancohur, 17 yours old, caine to a stop at the Laughlin Air Force Base.

Troopers discovered that both the driver and passenger, a 16-year-old, were smuggling five illegal immigrants, including an 11 year-old child from Mexico.

Both the driver and passenger were arrested and charged with sunggling of persons.
Five iilegal immigrants irom Mexico were apprehended and referred to US Border Patrol.
