केंद्र सरकार ने ट्रक ड्राइवरों की मांग मान ली है और आश्वासन दिया है कि यह क़ानून अभी लागू नहीं हो रहा है। सरकार ने कहा है कि भारतीय न्याय संहिता की धारा 106(2) को लागू करने से पहले ऑल इंडिया मोटर ट्रांसपोर्ट कांग्रेस से विचार-विमर्श किया जाएगा। इसके तहत दुर्घटना के बाद अगर ड्राइवर फरार हुआ तो उसे दस साल की सज़ा होगी। सात लाख के जुर्माने का भी प्रावधान किया गया है। ट्रक ड्राइवरों का कहना था कि यह कानून उन्हें बर्बाद कर देगा। दुर्घटना के बाद अगर वहीं पर रुक गए तो ग़ुस्साई भीड़ गाड़ी के साथ उन्हें भी जला देगी। अगर भागने के बाद पकड़े गए तो दस साल की जेल और सात लाख जुर्माना उन्हें मार डालेगा। सरकार से मीटिंग के बाद हड़ताल खत्म हुई है मगर कानून बनाने में जल्दबाज़ी, पुराने को नया बता कर ऐतिहासिक कहने की होड़, और सड़क दुर्घटनाओं से जुड़े सवाल खत्म नहीं हुए हैं। यह वीडियो आपके लिए बहुत ज़रूरी है। पता चलेगा कि किस तरह से कानून बनाए जा रहे हैं।
