Tale of the Serpent

Eyes like gems, reflecting the heat,
A predator's gaze, patient and fleet,
Through the vastness where mirages dance,
The desert snake weaves its mystic trance.

In the hush of noon, a whispering hiss,
Echoing secrets of the serpent's bliss,
Tales of survival etched in the sand,
A dance of life in this barren land.

Beneath the crescent moon's silver light,
The serpent emerges from shadows of night,
Gliding on the dunes with rhythmic grace,
Leaving traces of sinuous embrace.

Its venom, a potion, both lethal and wise,
A symbol of life in the sun's fierce rise,
Yet, in the heart of the desert's vast sweep,
The snake, a guardian, its secrets to keep.

Oh, desert serpent, in the solitude you dwell,
A creature of beauty, in a harsh terrain's spell,
In the endless expanse where dreams are spun,
The snake and the desert, forever one.
