"Doom 3" is a survival horror first-person shooter developed by id Software and published by Activision. It features a story-driven action gameplay perspective. Similar to previous Doom games, the main goal is to progress through levels while defeating various enemies. The game introduces a more narrative-focused approach with friendly non-player characters providing plot information, objectives, and inventory items. Players have access to ten weapons, including conventional firearms, experimental plasma weaponry, and iconic Doom franchise weapons like the BFG 9000 and chainsaw. Enemies are divided into zombies (humans possessed by demons) and demons (Hell creatures). Zombies use melee weapons and firearms, while demons attack with claws, spines, or plasma-based fireballs. Demon corpses turn to ashes upon death.
