Hey everyone, and welcome to #whowas
We're diving into the mind of one of the most influential figures in Western history: #Aristotle.
This ancient Greek philosopher wasn't just some dusty old dude in a toga – he was a polymath, a pioneer, and a thinker whose ideas continue to shape our world today.

Born in 384 BC, Aristotle spent his early years learning from the best: Plato, the legendary philosopher himself.

Aristotle wasn't content to simply follow in his teacher's footsteps. He developed his own unique approach, emphasizing observation and empirical evidence over abstract ideas

Aristotle's contributions are staggering. He:

* Founded the Lyceum, his own school in Athens. This became a hub for intellectual discourse, attracting brilliant minds from all over Greece.

* Wrote extensively on a mind-boggling range of subjects, including logic, physics, biology, psychology, ethics, politics, and even poetry. (Seriously, the guy wrote about everything!)

* Developed formal logic, the foundation of scientific reasoning. This system of thought is still used today in everything from mathematics to computer science.

* Made groundbreaking discoveries in biology, dissecting animals and laying the groundwork for future scientists like Galen and Vesalius.

* Pioneered the study of ethics and politics, exploring concepts like justice, happiness, and the ideal form of government
